A church for the gospel and the good of Kathmandu.

As the fellowship grew, the church rented a small room where believers gathered for worship, prayer, biblical teaching, and fellowship.

When the COVID-19 pandemic interrupted public gatherings, the church entered a difficult season. Although regular services could not continue in the same way, Pastor Yubaraj and the church continued praying, maintaining relationships with members, encouraging families, and caring for the congregation.

When restrictions eased, the church began gathering again. In time, the congregation was able to rent land and build a simple place of worship, providing space for worship, fellowship, discipleship, prayer, and ministry.

Today, Kathmandu Evangelical Church continues the work that began with those small prayer gatherings in 2018. We seek to be a church grounded in Scripture, shaped by the gospel, devoted to prayer, committed to making disciples, and faithfully sharing the hope of Jesus Christ with our neighbors.

What began with two families praying together continues as a community seeking to glorify God and be a living witness of Jesus Christ in Kathmandu and beyond.
